Putin praises Somalia’s fight against terrorism & overall revival.

Russia wished all efforts of Somalia’s authorities to fight terrorism and extremism to be successful, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a ceremony to present credentials to ambassadors.

President Vladimir Putin of Russia, while accepting credential letters from the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Russian Federation, Hassan Daud at the Alexander Hall in the Grand Kremlin Palace. He shared his remarks about Somalia to the diplomat saying;

“Your government (Somalia) is taking active steps to strengthen the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, fighting terrorism and extremism, and seeking to create conditions for socio-economic revival. And we certainly wish that all these efforts will be crowned with success,” to Somali Ambassador Hassan Abdi Daud.

The Somali Ambassador to the Russian Federation was among the 20 diplomats that presented their credentials to President Vladimir Putin at the Grand Kremlin Palace. On the other hand Russia, sent an ambassador, Mikhail Bogdanov to Somalia in 2019 after more than 25 years.
